Business Photography Talks & School / College Visiting Lectures on Photography in Devon & Cornwall
Business Speaker – Talks in Devon
I regularly speak at business events and networking groups in Devon & Cornwall on “The Importance of Photography to Your Business”. This features content on selecting the right photographer for you, how to set a brief, image licensing & copyright issues, plus some interesting creative composition tips.
The business talk is fast, punchy and engaging and has had excellent feedback from Devon & Cornwall business groups. It always tends to produce a good level of questions and discussions at the end in relation to recent technology, image rights and other hot issues. The talk is not a promotional pitch but a general explanation of how the professional photography industry can help businesses and how to get the best out of your chosen photographer & resulting images.
Visiting Photography Industry Lecturer & Schools Workshops
My guest lecturing for HE is often as a talk / presentation followed by a practical workshop on commercial photography for art colleges and universities. I combine this with several work placements for photography students each term. Having followed an HE and CPD career route myself, I am able to offer help and first hand advice to students on academic, creative development and career aspects within the photography industry.
Practical and creative photography workshops for primary & secondary schools on “Creative Composition” and other themes can also be delivered. I have held day photography workshops for secondary schools which are very popular and enable children to experiment, be creative, communicate and discuss ideas confidently as part of a group. photography is an ideal medium for positively developing the young creative mind.
