Dartmoor Pony Images, Devon
I have been following a family of Dartmoor ponies on South Dartmoor near to my home for a couple of years. These friendly equine beauties are sometimes easy to find, sometimes not so and I have a lengthy walk!
My aim is to capture the ponies throughout the seasons and to get close and personal but without interfering with their behavior in any way. So I spend a lot of time sitting on rocks close to them and wait patiently for the ponies to get closer to me. They usually become totally relaxed with me and my camera and allow me to photograph them doing their natural things which is a wonderful feeling of privelidge.
